I know it’s a serious issue but I always think of the SOPA Act as the SOFA Act for some reason and when I saw that my favourite websites were going offline today in protest all I could think of is the image above (popcorn and remote: out of picture) Enjoy your pyjama day, guys, and best of luck with the protest.
Without wikipedia I don’t have the technical know-how to black out this site myself and in any event I have to do some work today – but as some of my commenters might perhaps be at a loose end, here’s a little slideshow I prepared earlier.

All Most of the above are photos of people who later became Presidents of the United States at some time in the 20th century [names subsequently added]. Aren’t they just darling?
For those of you who are not American and (like me) might not have a clear visual image of all the 20th century US Presidents, you can find comparison photos of their adult selves here.

The baby with the teddy bear it is Eisenhower, the others I am not so sure .. ?
@La Frondeuse
Lovely to meet you and thanks for taking the trouble to comment. You may be right.
I’ll be putting the results up later.
you’re welcome – may I say that I love your blog!! so pretty
Crikey – It really is hard managing without resources like wikipedia for the day. It’s like being in 2002 or somewhere strange. I feel old
I think the one that is in color is a Bush. Inclined to say Bush the Younger. I miss him. He at least we could laugh then….
The handsome kid with the small face and thicker lips is Ike. Has to be right?
Who’s the dude with the long hair? Looks like a chick.
The one in the dress with long hair is FDR- I’ve seen that pic before. Ike is the one with the wide eyes, full lips, and 19th century collar. I suspect the one with the bowl harido and anchor on the shirt is Nixon, based mainly on the cheekbones. I agree the color one has to be W, and maybe the smiling boy with the dog is Poppy. Not sure though- very intersting exercise. Look forward to seeing the answers.
Ike was a beautiful baby, no!?? W has to be the color one…I can see it in the mischievous eyes.
Interesting corollary question and thought experiment: put all those infants, destined to be alpha males of the future, into a sandbox together at exactly the same age- and see who would come out on top. Thoughts? My money would be on LBJ, or maybe Nixon.
